Inside Access: The Rocky Road to Canada-wide Carbon Pricing

Exclusive Members Only call with author Tracy Snoddon

In March 2016, all provinces, territories and the federal government signed the Vancouver Declaration, a commitment to meet Canada's 2030 emissions reduction target, as established by the 2015 Paris Agreeement. The Declaration also pledged to boost emissions reduction policies over time. The Pan Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change implementation plan that followed features carbon pricing as a central component to achieving these goals and was signed by all provinces except Saskatchewan. Now, as the federal government's plan for Canada-wide carbon pricing is set to come into effect on January 1, 2019, support is weakening. Join author Tracy Snoddon to discuss the impact of this.
