Zayna Khayat, Future Strategist, SE Health

Zayna Khayat is Future Strategist with SE Health (formerly, Saint Elizabeth Health Care) a health and social impact enterprise with a major focus on creating a better future for aging adults in their homes and communities. Zayna is Faculty of Singularity University’ Exponential Medicine stream, and is adjunct faculty in the Health Sector Strategy stream at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Dr. Khayat was previously the lead of health system innovation at MaRS Discovery District, a health innovation hub in Toronto, Canada. In 2017 she was seconded to the REshape Innovation Centre at Radboud university medical centre in the Netherlands. Zayna completed her Ph.D. in diabetes research from the University of Toronto (2001), followed by a career in strategy consulting, including as a Principal in the healthcare practice of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She currently resides in Toronto with her husband and three children and is proficient in French and Arabic languages.

 

Shelagh Maloney, Executive Vice President, Engagement and Marketing, Canada Health Infoway

Shelagh Maloney is responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships at Infoway, including those with patients, clinicians and the federal government, as well as the standards community. She is also responsible for performance analytics, and coordinating and executing communication and marketing efforts in support of Infoway products and services.

Prior to joining Infoway, she held a number of executive positions in the public and private sectors where she honed her relationship management and business development skills.

Shelagh holds a B.Sc. in Applied Health Sciences from the University of Waterloo and is a Certified Professional in Health Information & Management Systems (CPHIMS-CA). She has held a number of board positions at the international, national and local levels, including Vice Chair of SNOMED International and Board Chair of Digital Health Canada (formerly COACH: Canada’s Health Informatics Association).

In 2017, Shelagh received the inaugural Women Leaders in Digital Health Award. This award was created to celebrate the top 10 female visionaries who are harnessing the power of IT to transform health and health care in Canada.

 

Lisa Purdy, Partner, National Health Consulting Leader, Deloitte

Lisa is a senior partner in Consulting, bringing her expertise specifically to the Life Sciences & Health Care practice. She brings extensive experience delivering strategy, governance, operations and digital solutions to individual, regional and provincial health organizations. Her deep understanding of health system issues includes sustainability levers, service provider operations, alternative service delivery models, technology enablement opportunities and overarching system transformation considerations.
