Session II – What challenges prevent open banking's development? A deep dive into the challenges of open banking beyond security and privacy, and a discussion about accountability and the risks for all stakeholders involved.
Session III – Open Banking: The International Experience What can Canada learn from other jurisdictions? What can we emulate or change based on their
experiences?
Luncheon Panel: The International Perspective A panel of international experts will discuss the adoption of open banking in other jurisdictions and outline what Canada can emulate or change from their experiences.
Session IV – Data: Who owns it and how is it changing the landscape? Who owns the data - the consumer or the financial institution? The answer to this question may determine the future of competition in the financial services sector.
Session V – The Regulatory Landscape A conversation about where Third Party Providers (TPPs) would fit into Canada's regulatory landscape, including the regulations needed to approve TPPs, and to ensure consumer safety in an open banking environment.
