July 29, 2021 – William Robson, CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the re-appointment of Angelo Melino as a Research Fellow.
“Angelo is one of Canada’s foremost macroeconomic policy scholars. He has made many important contributions to the C.D. Howe Institute, notably on our Monetary Policy and Business Cycle Councils,” said Robson. “We’re pleased to continue to benefit from his insights.”
Angelo Melino's research interests include links between finance and macroeconomics.
On the University of Toronto faculty since 1981, he was Associate Chair of the Department of Economics and Director of Graduate Studies, from 1998 to 2001, and has also taught at Harvard and the University of California at San Diego.
In 2008-2009, he was a Special Adviser to the Bank of Canada.
