September 10th, 2018 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the appointment of Glen Hodgson as a Fellow-in-Residence.

“Glen has a well-deserved reputation as a leading expert on Canada’s economy and economic policy. Macroeconomics, international trade, industrial policy, fiscal issues – he has outstanding knowledge and insights on the key areas that matter for Canada’s competitiveness and prosperity,” commented Robson. “His contributions to addressing policy challenges will be vital to the C.D. Howe Institute’s work.”

Prior to joining the C.D. Howe as a Fellow-in-Residence, Glen’s career spanned the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C., the federal Department of Finance, Export Development Canada (EDC), and the Conference Board of Canada. He has travelled the world and Canada as an economic analyst and public speaker, financial negotiator, and advisor to governments, businesses and international organizations.

Glen has co-authored two books and over 375 reports, briefings and articles, with a regular commentary in the Globe and Mail. He has delivered many presentations to audiences of all types and sizes, and done numerous media interviews via print, TV, radio and social media.
