December 13 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the appointment of Miville Tremblay as a Senior Fellow.

“Miville’s deep knowledge of monetary policy and finance, sound judgement and strategic expertise will be of great benefit to the C.D. Howe Institute,” said Robson. “We are glad to welcome him into the fold.”

Miville Tremblay served as Senior Director and Regional Representative at the Montréal Office of the Bank of Canada and as a member of the Monetary Policy Review Committee from 2002 until his retirement in 2018. Previously, he worked at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec as Director of Strategic Intelligence. He also had a long career as a financial journalist, mainly at La Presse. He is the author of two books on business and finance and the recipient of many awards. Mr. Tremblay has an Executive MBA from the Université du Québec à Montréal, a master’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from the Université Laval and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from McGill University. He holds the CFA and ICD.D designations.
