February 11th, 2019 - The Board Members and staff of the C.D. Howe Institute mourn the passing of the Hon. Michael Wilson.
“Michael Wilson’s achievements in business, in public life, and in service to the community made him a truly outstanding Canadian,” said William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute. “On behalf the C.D. Howe Institute, I offer our sympathy to his family and his many friends. We will miss him.”
Mr. Wilson served as the Chair of the C.D. Howe Institute’s International Economic Policy Council since 2014, and provided invaluable advice to the Council at a time of renewed trade frictions between Canada and the United States. He contributed to the Institute’s Intelligence Memos blog series, and spoke at numerous Institute events, including the Institute’s 2017 Benefactors Lecture on the Canada-US relationship.
