July 30, 2018 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the re-appointment of Martin Eichenbaum as a International Fellow.

“Martin has a well-deserved international reputation for expertise in monetary policy and international macroeconomics,” commented Robson. “We are fortunate for the opportunity to draw on his insights and expertise.”

Martin Eichenbaum is the Charles Moskos Professor of economics at Northwestern University and the co-director of the Center for International Economics at Northwestern University. He has been at Northwestern University since 1988.  He has also taught at the University of Chicago and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Martin earned his PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota. He served as the co-editor of the American Economic Review from 2011-2015.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the Econometric Society and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Martin currently works as a consultant to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and the IMF. He also serves on the advisory council of the Global Markets Institute at Goldman Sachs, and the academic advisory council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Finally, he is on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Montreal.
