Dr. Charles Evans, President & CEO, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, gave the 2012 Benefactor's Lecture at the C.D. Howe Institute on November 27, 2012
In addition to presiding over the Chicago Fed, Dr. Evans is a member of the critical Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), chaired by Ben Bernanke, which is the Federal Reserve System's official monetary-policy making body. Dr. Evans will address how America's central bank intends to continue to respond to lackluster economic progress. Given the Canadian economy's stake in American markets, this event will give a critical glimpse into the direction the US economy is heading.
